Q: Jesus said, “…no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” Doesn’t that exclude all the people who try to find God other ways? A: Something really important needs to be understood. There is a resurrection to eonian life; and then, much, much later, there comes the consummation of the eons, where death is abolished and all, yes, ALL that were in death, shall be made alive and immortal. Make no mistake about this, biblical universal reconciliation does not teach that all shall be saved to eonian life, that is, life that abides the eons which occur after this one — yet prior to the consummation of the eons. The truth is that one is saved to eonian life in the present dispensation according to the evangel given to the apostle Paul, by having been chosen to it in Christ by the Father from before the birth or casting down of the world. "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:" (Ephesians 1:4) But isn't that predestination? You bet it is! “Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in
heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame
before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of
children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His
will," (Ephesians 1:3-5) Predestination completely excludes grounds for boasting. How can one proudly stand up and declare that he got saved by personally choosing Christ as his Saviour and Lord, when the choice was made by the Father Himself, before the foolish boaster and all his ancestors ever existed? We have far more to be thankful for than we realize!
